The workshop will take place at Agelonde - Odalys l'Ile d'Or , La Londe-les-Maures, in the french riviera. La Londe-les-Maures is located close to Toulon in the Département du Var, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. Talks will take place from 9am on Monday to 8pm on Saturday

Its geographical coordinates are 43° 8' 0" North, 6° 14' 0" East. Situated on 20 ha (50 acres), the resort property is located in the middle of vineyards and woods next to the Massif des Maures . It is very close to the beach (300 m) and nice hike trails are starting nearby from the route de Brégançon.

Rooms

All rooms are double occupancy, rooms will be asigned once all participants have accepted their invitations to come.

The cost of the accomodation including full board is 350 EUR per person. This fee also covers the conference registration. We are able to waive registration and subsidize your accomodation due to the kind support of our sponsors.

Payment Methods

The payment of 350 EUR must be done one month in advance since this is the only way to guarantee your room and board. So please, use one of the payment methods below before Saturday, may the 22nd . Method A.) is clearly preferred; For using the method C.), a French check from a French bank is mandatory.

  1. All the account and bank info for transferring money (see table below): it is mandatory to add a message specifying the name of the participant then "HOT QUARKS - LA LONDE" (as shown in the last row of the table).
  2. Payment using Credit Card with calling them by phone: +33 4 9415 3092 on monday (16h-19h) or thursday (16h-19h) (french, english and german spoken: please ask Marie-Hélène).

Travel

Agelonde is a resort for Conferences and Workshops 13 km away from the Toulon-Hyère (TLN) airport, which connects frequently (5 times per day) with Paris-Orly (ORY). If you are traveling from outside of Europe will probably find you will not be able to land at Paris-Orly (ORY). Transfer between airports in Paris is a bit of a pain. We therefore suggest considering the Marignane option below.

Another option is the Marignane Airport (Marseille Provence) via the highways A50 (1.5 hours, 115 km or 71 miles) and A8-E80 (2 hours, 145 km or 90 miles). In the second case, use A7 then follow A8 in the direction of Aix en Provence and Toulon. Before Toulon, take A57 then A570 direction Hyères. Finally follow D98 in the direction of Lavandou Saint Tropez and take the exit of La Londe les Maures.

There is also a TGV between Geneva and Marseille St Charles (3.5 hours), leaving Geneva at 13h44 and arriving in Marseille at 17h17, to be confirmed with the new summer schedule). The closest train stations is Hyères (then Toulon).

Weather

Average temperature: 20°C / 68°F. The beach season begins. Lifeguards are on duty from the middle of the month, the water is warming up and the sun is at its strongest. The French summer vacation period hasn't yet started so it's still possible to get a spot for your towel on the beach.

Activities

Several activities can be organized such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and sea diving.
